On 18 January 2022 Marta put forward a proposal to vote on two expenditures:
PENDING receipt of grant or other funds approve new signage for CERT trailers not to exceed $1,650.
FYI – Foundation will have to file a tax return even though we don’t own IRS. So, based on a recommendation from my personal attorney I contact Maze Associates – Peter Medina. Peter has advised on the type of form (990-N federal & CA-119 state)) and that if we do the initial forms he will review (prior to our submission) for accuracy and details for $250. BTW – I also filed for non-profit status with the state (thanks to Peter’s advise to be sure I dotted all the i and crossed all the t. That required that I send a copy of our federal non-profit letter to Sacramento.

We recorded seven votes in favor of both proposals (Marta, Kerry, Ron, Brian, Lynette, Judi, Cathi). One member (Cliff) abstained. Both motions pass.
